For complex molecular systems, characterization by multiple, complementary technologies is often needed to get a deeper understanding of the system under study. An efficient way to collect such complementary data is to use a multi-technique approach, where several technologies are combined in a single setup. In this application note we show how combined QCM-D and Ellipsometry can be used for simultaneous real-time characterization of thin molecular films.
